At The Dusty Bull, I take pride in delivering bespoke, high-quality, custom fine art pieces that celebrate the unique beauty and personality of your animals. Whether it’s a farm animal, dog, cat, horse, or another beloved pet, I create personalised art to honour them in a meaningful way. Each commissioned piece is crafted with care, capturing the character of your animal and creating timeless, one-of-a-kind art.

The Comission process
Photography
All photos are taken by me to ensure every detail is captured to the highest standard. I do not edit, enhance, or work with client-provided photographs, as this ensures the quality and artistry of the final piece. You will also have a say in selecting the image for the final artwork, as you know your animal best.
Artwork Customisation
You’ll choose the size, material, and frame (if framing is desired) for your artwork. Each commission includes one fine art print. Please note that digital files are not available, as this ensures all prints meet the high-quality printing standards of The Dusty Bull. Prices start at $250, with sizes beginning at A4.
Travel Arrangements
I can travel to Wairarapa, Hawke’s Bay, or Manawatu for photo sessions, with travel costs added. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your animals to me for their photoshoot.
Deposit
A 50% deposit is required before I proceed with your commission. This secures your session and begins the process of creating your custom piece.

- We do not offer refund policy for change of mind unless it is a damaged good.
- If you receive a damaged good please email me with photographic evidence as soon as possible and we can arrange replacement.
Shipping please allow 1 week for prints to be shipped and 2 -3 weeks for canvas and framing to be shipped. You will receive tracking details once item is shipped. Everything is made to order, frames are also hand made so please note shipping times many vary depending on demand.
Avoid touching prints as your finger marks can damage prints, especially black. Our prints come with a white boarder for handling purposes. If you are framing yourself, we recommend not handling the print until you frame to prevent damage. (I know this is hard!).
To get the most out of your print or canvas. Please note that hanging in damp areas such as bathrooms is not recommended as this can damage the print over time. Please also with hold from hanging in direct sunlight as this may fade your print or canvas over time.

330 gsm Paper
Our paper is of museum quality it is a fine art smooth cotton rag 330 gsm with a matte finish. It is manufactured with 100% cotton that is acid, lined and chorine free with ph buffering for superb durability.
Canvas
We use high quality fine art canvas, 380 gsm poly/cotton finish, is a combinatiom of polyester and cotton. Our canvas are OBG and 100% acid free with a neutral pH coating. Our canvases are coated with a Ilford Galarie Canvas Protect. This is a liquid laminate that is designed to protect and enhance images printed on canvas.
All canvas come stretched, which means the canvas is stretched around a wood frame ready to be hung for display. We use the finest kiln dried timber that won’t warp or buckle.
You can also choose a box frame for your canvas, which we LOVE the look of!
All prints are either framed right to the edge of the print or there is a small white boarder option.
We recommend getting your print professionally framed either through us or any other professional picture framer, this helps with durability of your print.
We understand this is a large expense and some people wish to choose cheaper alternative some places to look for a poster frame are, factory frames, the warehouse stationary, Kmart or the warehouse.
Prints, frames and canvas are carefully packaged to avoid damage in paper/cardboard, in a heavy-duty tube or a clear package with a backing card for smaller prints.

Acrylic
Our acrylic mounts have a unique three domensional high definition effect. Our acrylic prints are printed onto a fine satin archival paper and is then mounted on a 3mm sheet of AcryLuxePlus – 100 acrylic. Crystal clear silicon is then applied to the face of the print and then sandwhiched between the print and the backing board. If looked after well, this will last decades.
All prints are either framed right to the edge of the print or there is a mat board option.
